Visit from Richard Meade, Chief Executive, SFHA

We were pleased to welcome Richard Meade, Chief Executive Scottish Federation of Housing Associations - SFHA , to Homes for Life. Here's what he had to say following his visit on 17th March 2026:

"I spent some time with the team at Homes for Life Housing Partnership in Haddington today. It was great to hear about the redevelopment of flats at Old Course Gate in Musselburgh into some fantastic mid-market rent (MMR) properties. MMR is such an important part of Scotland's affordable homes offer, as it allows those on middle to low-incomes who wouldn't be able to get a social home or be able to afford private rent to get a home. Thanks to Gill Binnie and her team for the warm welcome, presentations and discussion about the challenges and opportunities facing the sector nationally and locally - including the new national housing agency. We agreed the new agency absolutely must work and support small housing associations who want to develop new social homes".
