Changes to Tenant's Rights

The Housing (Scotland) Act 2014 is making significant changes to tenant's rights and the way landlords allocate their housing. The changes start to take effect from May 2019. Read about these changes HERE

Homehunt

From 1st September Homes for Life's vacancies will no longer be hosted by ELHA . Any vacancies will continue be advertised on Homehunt and if you are registered with a landlord operating in East Lothian, you will continue to able to bid for these. It is not necessary to complete a new registration. More information to follow.

Annual General Meeting: 12th September 2018

Homes for Life give notice of a Special General Meeting and our 20th Annual General Meeting at The Maitlandfield House Hotel from 7pm. These meetings are open to anyone interested in Homes for Life Housing Partnership.

At the Special Meeting to be held first members are asked to vote on a Special Resolution proposing a change to the Articles. This change is necessary to help ensure good governance and regulatory compliance.

Our 20th Annual General Meeting will follow.

Special guest will be East Lothian Foodbank (Trussell Trust) who will give a presentation on their work. Please bring empty bags for life donations.

A buffet and refreshments will be available afterwards to celebrate our 20th Anniversary.

Additional Specialist Directors Wanted

We are looking to co-opt or appoint additional Directors - with specialist financial, audit, legal, governance or business management expertise and experience. These are voluntary unpaid positions. Directors are expected to prepare for and regularly attend meetings - generally held on the last Wednesday evening of each month. Induction and follow-up training will be provided.
