Q1. I Want to apply for a house. What do I need to do?
answer: You must have registered with Homehunt before you can apply for one of our properties. How to apply for a property

Q2. How many properties do you have?
answer: We have around 275 general needs properties varying from 1 bedroom to 3 bedroom properties. They are in towns and villages across East Lothian; Aberlady,Athlestanford,Cockenzie, Dunbar,East Linton,Elphinstone, Garvald, Gifford, Gladsmuir, Gullane, Haddington, Innerwick, Longniddry, Macmerry,North Berwick, Ormiston, Stenton,West Barns and Whittengehame.
A further 25 properties are leased to ELC for use as temporary accommodation for homeless applicants. 1 property is leased to Aberlour to provide respite care for young children with particular learning and physical needs. To view a variety of our properties click: here

Q3. I am not homeless. What chance do I have of obtaining a house?
answer: We currently have an agreement with East Lothian Council to make 50% of all vacancies available to homeless households. The remaining 50% are allocated to those who will make best use of the property . We publish the results on how each property was let.
