The guide contains useful informationand advice for people who have recently come to live in East Lothian from another country, the booklet has been produced by agroup of ESOL (English for Speakers of other Languages) learners with fundingfrom the Scottish Government. East Lothian Service Gives Easy Access to Home Adaptations

East Lothian Council has launched a service to give people quick and easy access to simple equipment and adaptations that will help people who, through age, illness or disability, are finding it more difficult to manage simple household or personal care tasks.

Residents will be able to select and order from a catalogue of simple items, all specially designed for the task. All of the items are available free of charge and without the need for a professional assessment. Relatives and carers can also request items on another person's behalf. To receiveg equipment and minor adaptations simply telephone East Lothian Council on 0845 603 1576 for a free copy of the self selection catalogue or download it from their website at HERE

Annual General Meeting

Homes for Life held the 13th AGM on Wednesday 14th September 2011, 7pm at The Maitlandfield House Hotel, Haddington.

The meeting was a success with a good attendance from both directors, tenants and our external agents. There were presentations from our current finance agent, Business Manager and Customer Services Manager who presented Community Pride Award prize draw. This was our second year of awards for tenants and developments who have taken time, great effort in looking after their gardens and communal areas.

A copy of the Annual Report is available, if you would like a copy please contact the office, copies have been sent to each tenant and external agents.
